The lodge Malerwinkel is offering a total of 9 sleeps split into two newly renovated apartments.
You will find a detailed description of those apartments called "Malerwinkel" and "National Park" on the following sites.
Our Lodge is situated right at the so-called Malerwinkel (which could be translated as Painter’s Corner) of the Koetschachtal Valley in the biggest Natural Park Reserve of Europe, the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern. During the last hundreds of years the Malerwinkel was painted and photographed as the most picturesque location in the Koetschach Valley.
The romantic property of the lodge is part of an ensemble of three houses and two stables. Since the time it was built, more than 350 years ago, the house was always designated to hunting and until 2012 it was the home of the regional ranger. After this date the history of the lodge was changed by the new owners, who transformed it into a special place for trekking and nature loving tourists.
The lodge is built of wood and renovated with lots of little details and specials. The cosy and romantic apartments are an ideal place for profound relaxation. Furthermore the nearby waterfalls create a sound of harmony, which is the ideal inspiration for painting, reading and writing or whatever you need inspiration for.
